A few weeks ago we visited our caravan in Northumberland, knowing there had been a lot of snow. Our van had survived with only some broken guttering and a couple of leaking pipes after the big freeze.
We had to dig through two and a half feet of ice to get in (thanks for the loan of the spade!), but the heating fired up and we had a comfortable afternoon even though there was no water.
But looking up the road it was clear that others had suffered far worse than we had.
Apparently there were 11 vans crushed by the weight of snow earlier in December and January and several otehrs with structural damage.
